Sura Chandaeng

PhD Student

Sura Chandaeng is early career researcher (research assistant) in the AspirE Project-Thailand team. Sura has a master’s degree in Cultural Studies from the Research Institute for Languages and Cultures of Asia, Mahidol University, Thailand. His MA thesis analyzes the concepts of the body and masculinity among Thai fitness-going gay men. Originally from the Isaan region, Thailand, Sura’s current research interest focuses on gender and Isaan transnational migration.

For his role in the AspirE project, Sura will be responsible for WP3, individual’s decision, and WP4 temporality of (non-)migration decisions.
