Portugal findings presented at the British Association for Chinese Studies Annual Conference

The annual conference of the British Association for Chinese Studies (BACS), hosted this year at the University of Leicester, brings together scholars from across the United Kingdom and beyond to advance interdisciplinary research on China and Chinese societies. As a non-political organisation founded in 1976, BACS promotes Chinese Studies in the broadest sense, covering history, culture, politics, economy, language, and international relations. The conference features keynote lectures, panel presentations, roundtables, and screenings, fostering critical debate and new research connections in a rapidly changing global context.

Olga Cojocaru and Xuhen Wang presented their paper entitled "And then you look up at the sky and it is blue!": Changing imaginiaries of the "good life" of Chinese migrants in Portugal.
