Go visit the Archipelago Abroad exhibition!
24 January 2025

It is a pleasure to announce yet another collaborative project of AspirE: the temporary exhibition entitled "Archipelago Abroad" co-organised by PACE asbl, the Embassy of the Philippines, EASt and AspirE on behalf of the ULB.
Through an innovative combination of visual artistry, immersive auditory elements, and heartfelt narrative testimonies, the exhibition creates a dynamic space for cultural exchange and reflection while offering an intimate exploration of the rich and multifaceted stories of the Philippine diaspora in Belgium
By shedding light on the experiences, challenges, and contributions of the Filipino community, a vibrant yet often overlooked group in Brussels, this exhibition invites visitors to reimagine the broader tapestry of Belgian migration history. It seeks to bridge cultural gaps, foster understanding, and celebrate the resilience and diversity that define this diaspora.
In highlighting this lesser-known narrative, the exhibition not only broadens perspectives on migration but also underscores the interconnectedness of communities in shaping Belgium’s evolving cultural landscape. It stands as a testament to the power of storytelling in uniting people across boundaries and creating a shared sense of belonging.
