Final event in the Philippines highlights local migration insights

On 18 February 2026, the Scalabrini Migration Center organised a forum, “The European Turn: A New Chapter in Global Migration from the Philippines", to share and discuss the country's key findings with migration-related stakeholders and to examine their implications for Philippines–EU relations, particularly in terms of migration, research, policymaking, and advocacy. Participants included partners who supported the research through recruitment of participants, key informants, and individuals who had previously contributed through consultations and earlier events.

The forum provided an opportunity to reflect on the Philippine perspective within the broader research and to discuss how the findings can inform ongoing debates and collaboration.
