Collaboration in focus: AspirE shares methodological reflections at DYNAMIG workshop

16 May 2025

AspirE is honoured to be invited to an innovative workshop organised by DYNAMIG, one of its sister projects, on 22 May 2025 at Middlesex University in London.

The workshop "Innovative Qualitative Methods in Migration Research" explores innovative qualitative methods in migration research, focusing on their practical application and challenges. Aimed at postgraduate students and researchers, it offers insights into how these methods can enhance understanding of mobility and displacement. Participants can hear firsthand accounts from researchers reflecting on their fieldwork and methodological innovations, specifically Asuncion Fresnoza-Flot (AspirE coordinator based at the ULB) and Amaya Langreo (postdoctoral researcher based at ISCTE), who will share their experience within AspirE on video diaries as a tool to explore emotions and temporality in Asians’ migration decision-making.

Registration is needed, more information about the event HERE.

Thank you, DYNAMIG, for the invitation to share how personal storytelling can enrich migration research and open up new methodological possibilities!
