AspirE's findings presented in the Philippines

9 August 2024

Asuncion Fresnoza-Flot (AspirE’s main PI) presented “Work and family in global reproductive system: Filipino migrant women in Belgium and the Netherlands” during the international conference, entitled “Past, present, and future of Philippine labor migration: 50 years and beyond”, co-organised by the Philippine Migration Research Network (PMRN) and Philippine Social Science Council (PSSC) on 19 July 2024.

The Scalabrini Migration Center also participated in the conference with a presentation entitled "Europe on their minds: (Re)Migration aspirations of Filipino Youth". They shared AspirE's findings on the semi-sctructured interviews conducted with 18 aspiring Filipino migrants 30 years of age and younger. The poster made by Eunice Tejada and Bernard Garcia was awarded second prize.

The conference programme is available HERE and the award-winning poster HERE.
