Listening to migration: the final AspirE podcast series now out!
11 May 2026
We are pleased to announce the publication of the fourth and final series of the AspirE podcast. This series highlights the work carried out within Work Package 4 (WP4), which focused on collecting and analysing video diaries from migrants, alongside focus group discussions with migration experts across Asia and Europe.
Through these rich qualitative materials, WP4 explored migrants’ lived experiences, aspirations, challenges, and mobility trajectories, while also bringing together expert perspectives on migration governance and policy responses.
The series is composed of four episodes:
- Episode 1 introduces the overall objectives, methodology, and key themes of WP4.
- Episode 2 and Episode 3 present local findings from the data collection in Asia and the European Union respectively, offering insights into migrants’ experiences across different contexts.
- Episode 4 focuses on the policy recommendations emerging from these findings and reflects on how research can contribute to more inclusive and informed migration policies.
As this is the final series of the AspirE podcast, we would like to warmly thank all participants who contributed to the video diaries, focus groups, interviews, and discussions throughout the project. We are equally grateful to all researchers, collaborators, and listeners.
We invite you to explore not only this final series, but all AspirE podcast series available HERE, and revisit the many conversations, stories, and insights shared throughout the project’s journey.
